Faridabad, 18 June (Naveen Gupta):Taiwan Chamber of Commerce New Delhi and PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry signed a Memorandum of Understanding on 16th June, 2016 to open doors for greater cooperation between India and Taiwan. The event upheld the opportunity to witness fostering of the bilateral relations between the apex bodies. DLF Industries Association President J.P. Malhotra witnessed the MoU Signing Ceremony and was informed by Dr. Guann Jyh Lee, the ED Economic Division of Taipei Economy Centre in India that a lot of Taiwanese companies are looking to invest in India. There is a need to create more awareness on how India and Taiwan can achieve the full potential of the already growing business cooperation between the two countries and develop a meaningful bilateral partnership.
DLF Industries Association being a part of MSME Task Force would stand to gain by access to information on Taiwanese Industry interests in investment and transfer of technology to interested parties. According to discussions Mr. J.P. Malhotra, President DLF Industries Association, had with Mr. G.F. Hao, President Taiwan Chamber of Commerce, key items that can be imported from Taiwan could be Electrical machinery, electronics and machinery. HE Amb. Chung-Kwang Tien informed that Taiwan is quick and big market and there are tremendous opportunities. Taiwan is a hardware giant and India is a software giant. There are no trade barriers, no issues and Trade volume has to grow 5 times. According to Mr. J.P. Malhotra the investments could be in IT, Food and Auto Components segments.
For cooperation between Industries of Faridabad and Taiwan, DLF Industries Association would promote people to people contact, build up Trust Mechanism and help Taiwanese counterparts verify the credentials of the companies of Faridabad. DLF Industries Association proposes to host as well as take an Industry delegation to Taiwan the modalities of which will be discussed with Dr. Guann Jyh Lee.
At the end of MoU Signing Mr. J.P. Malhotra presented his book ‘Tips – The Bright Ideas’ to Mr. G.F. Hao, President Taiwan Chamber of Commerce in presence of Mr. S.K. Kalra and Dr. Mahesh Gupta, President PHD Chamber who acknowledged and liked the book.
During B to B Meetings Mr. J.P. Malhotra had fruitful conversation with Brian Yeh, Assistant Manager, Victor Rackets Ind. Corp., Cannie Min, Gen. Manager Han You Chinese Language Institute, Amb. Chung Kwang Tien, Taipei Economic and Cultural Centre, Country Gen. Manager China Airlines, Anil Khaitan, Chairman SNK Corp. which could be exploited by members of Faridabad Industrial Fraternity.
