Faridabad, 9 September (Naveen Gupta): DLF Industries Association has instituted ‘Make in India’ Awards – says J.P. Malhotra, President of the Association. It is felt that what is probably less visible in the entire Make in India drive is the need to provide an intensive push at the grassroots level, creating a better ecosystem where the county’s 3.6 crore micro, small and medium scale units, employing eight crore people, can move up the value chain.
Speaking to members of the Media, Mr. J.P. Malhotra said that the objective of the DLF Industries Association “Make in India” Awards is to identify and reward successful Faridabad companies of whatever size and scale that exemplify the spirit of “Make in India”.
Elaborating the process, Mr. Vijay Raghavan, Secretary said that the Nominees may have shown Make in India spirit in 2 or more parameters:
- Growth Potential – production, revenues
- Employment Generation – number of employees, job-oriented growth
- Brand Image – testimonies, media news etc.
- Contribution to Industry – uniqueness, IP, process improvement
- Genesis and Background – entrepreneur’s struggle, story of the company
Mr. Malhotra informed that the DLF Industries Association ‘Make in India’ Awards will be presented at a function to be graced by Senior Officers of MSME Ministry, SIDBI and Industry Ministry of Haryana.
Sh. M.P. Rungta, Advisor DLF Industries Association joined Mr. J.P. Malhotra and remarked that with inspiration from our Hon’ble Prime Minister Sh. Narendra Modi, we at DLF Industries Association wish to take the first small step, encourage and recognise the Industrial Fraternities who have done something. Award Distribution Ceremony would be held in October 2016 depending upon the logistics and convenience of Chief Guest – said Sh. K.K. Nangia.
