Faridabad, 15 December (Naveen Gupta): DLF Make in India Award 2016 was presented to Dr. N. Subramanian, Distt. Governor, Rotary International District 3011 for his contribution to Make in India through TEACH and WiNS Programme besides Swachh Bharat Mission at a glittering Award Presentation function organised by DLF Industries Association at Faridabad.
Mr. J.P. Malhotra, President DLF Industries Association informed that the Award to Rotary was presented during the recently concluded 5th DLF Business Summit 2016 presented by Ms. Seema Trikha, Chief Parliamentary Secretary Haryana and Hon’ble Dy. Commissioner Faridabad Sh. Chander Shekhar IAS in presence of dignitaries Sh. Ramesh Dharmaji, CGM SIDBI, Sh. R.K. Panigrihi, Director MSME DI, Dr. H.P. Kumar, Former CMD NSIC Sh. Sanjay Goyal, GM SIDBI and 162 delegates from Industry and Rotary fraternity of Faridabad/NCR.
The Award citation read at the Ceremony stated that Rotary International, the most credible NGO of International repute, celebrating 111 years has made tremendous contribution & service to the mankind all over the Globe. Rotary International Distt. 3011 lead by Governor Dr. N. Subramanian through 3000 plus dedicated & passionate Rotarians spread over NCR has made noticeable & measurable contribution to eradication of illiteracy through its T.E.A.C.H initiative & Hygiene improvement programme through Wash in Schools – WiNS & provision of Toilets for Girls. Rotary Distt. 3011 provides Artificial Limbs, Runs a Cancer Hospital, a Dialysis Centre, a Diabetic Centre besides Blood Bank and Eye Care Centre.
Mr. J.P. Malhotra, President, who is himself a very Senior Rotarian of Distt. 3011 Faridabad is recipient of “Avenues of Service Citation” and “Club Builder Award” from Rotary International. Senior Rotarians Navdeep Chawla, K.C. Lakhani, Vinay Bhatia, P.J.S. Sarna, Sunil Gupta, Ashok Nehra, Arun Bajaj, Dinesh Raghuvanshi, H.S. Malik, H.L. Bhutani, Mohinder Mehtani, Satish Gossain, Sandeep Goel, Vijay Raghavan congratulated DG Dr. N. Subramanian and his Team for excellent contribution and role played by Rotary.
In his humble acceptance of Award, DG Subramanian had all good words for DLF Industries Association President J.P. Malhotra to have brought Rotary and Industry at one platform where the citizens and Faridabad District Officials were apprised of immense positive and selfless community service done by Rotary. Dr. Subramanian touched upon the Polio Eradication, Cancer Hospital, Blood Bank and TB Awareness Programme. About WiNS Wash in Schools, Rotary Faridabad has selected 49 Govt. Schools where Hand Washing Stations costing Rs. 83 Lakhs have been provided for the students to regularly develop handwashing habits after every routine. Exclusive Toilet Block for Girl Child have been constructed and are operational involving huge efforts in terms of money and manhours contributed by Rotarians.
Entire audience complimented and congratulated Dr. Subramanian DG and his Team and gave standing applause for his contribution as the head of Rotary District.
