Faridabad, 23 November: On the eve of Guru Nanak Jayanti F.M.S. Remembered Guru Nanak DevJi– founder and first Guru of Sikhism. The birth anniversary of Guru Nanak DevJi is one of the sacred festivals of the Sikhs – also known as Prakash Parv.
A special assembly was conducted which started with the Shabadkirtan–
“EkOmkar, Satnam”. This was followed by kirtan –“Koi Bole Ram Ram” where students sang in their melodious voices. A spectacular Bhangra dance was performed by young ones. They also threw light on the life of Guru Nanak Dev Ji. The message of peace, oneness, brotherhood and compassion given by
Guru Nanak Dev Ji was shared and how his teachings and values help us to grow into good human being. For the occasion students were dress in traditional and colorful Punjabi dress. Young boys wore typical Punjabi kurta and payjama and young girls were in salwar suit with dupatta and were looking fabulous in these attire. Afterwards they had traditional halwa-puri in lunch.
To impart spiritual and help in social development students paid visit to Gurudwara Sing Sahib sector–29 where they were taken for round of Gurudwara. Then Granthi of Gurudwara explained to students about significance of
Guru Nanak Dev Ji life and his teachings. Later on they were distributed Parsad.
