Presenting Technical Paper at World Standards Day 2016 Celebrations by Bureau of Indian Standards Faridabad on 20th October, Mr. J.P. Malhotra, President DLF Industries Assocaition stated that BIS has developed more than 18600 standards harmonised with International Standards. BIS has formulated Standards complying to Swacch Bharat, Make in India and Digital India Mission of Hon’ble Prime Minister Sh. Narendra Modi.
Standard is an agreed way of doing things, about making a product or delivering a service. Standards are Powerful Tools and Spur Revenue Growth for enterprises who adopt Standards. He added that Standards encompass our life directly and indirectly whether you use a car, an AC, a soap bar, an electronic, household equipment or an aeroplane, jewellery. Hallmarking is yet another area where standards instill Trust.
Sh. Anil Choudhary, Jt. Director Industries in his address appreciated the role of DLF Industries Association in carrying forward the movement of Standards to the Industrial Fraternity.
Sh. Sunil Kumar Dilbaghi, Head BIS Faridabad made a sound proposal on benefits of adapting standards and informed in great detail the Role of BIS. Sh. A.K. Sharma, DDG BIS, Dr. Bhatnagar, IPCL gave overview of Trust Building by stakeholders. The programme was attended by more than 175 representatives of Industries and Service Organisations besides Officials of Distt. Govt.
